Ghanaians react to ‘terrible’ Black Stars draw against Cameroon

Spread the love

Ghana’s stalemate with Cameroon at the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) left nothing but disappointment for fans of the Black Stars on Saturday night.

For the second straight game, James Appiah’s outfit settled for a point, having played to a 2-2 draw in the tournament opener against Benin on Tuesday.

Saturday’s result leaves the Black Stars with no option but to beat Guinea-Bissau in their last Group F fixture on Tuesday to book a place in the Round of 16.

While many expressed dissatisfaction with the coach, others complained about the team’s display as a unit. Another section, though, singled out individual players for criticism.

Cameroon was always going to be tough but Kwesi Appiah’s substitutions have not been timely at all. If a player is having a bad day or ‘going off’ after a while take the player out

Dede Ayew also shows up first 30mins & flops for the rest of the game . I honestly think Kwesi Appiah is having a headache dropping one of his stars but he has to .. Partey to me on the day was even worse than Kwadwo . Kwesi should’ve subbed him off

Me when I hear people saying Ghana BlackStars would take the cup ?

Partey looks like a player who is mentally already on holiday or negotiating a transfer. He is definitely not yet at this AFCON

The workings Dey only if black stars can qualify

better draw than loss…last game we go win

The Black stars being the Black stars we’ve known over the years
