Funny Toheeb arrested by Police over accusation of being a Yahoo boy
Instagram comedian, Funny Toheeb is not impressed, to say the least, with the Nigerian security service following his arrest by the police on Tuesday, June 18, over accusations of being a Yahoo boy.
The comedian shared photos of him on social media today (Wednesday) showing him in police custody with an Apple laptop – believed to have been scrutinised for incriminating materials.
Toheed, in a post on his Instagram page, bemoaned the police force for harassing the youth without any probable cause and called for an end to police brutality in Nigeria.
While expressing his disappointment in the police, he wrote: “When will Nigeria police listen and stop harassing youths? This is me yesterday in police custody, allegedly accused of Yahoo Yahoo. It’s not even funny. #stoppolicebrutalityinnigeria”
