Freddie Gibbs & Anderson .Paak Link Up For ‘Tonight Show’ Performance Of ‘Feel No Pain’

Freddie Gibbs and Anderson .Paak teamed up this week to deliver a special two-song medley on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Backed by The Roots, the performance went down on Monday night (January 23), with Gangsta Gibbs dressed in a black blazer ensemble. He opened the set with a smooth rendition of “Blackest in the Room” before the stage was hit with a shade of green and yellow lights.

.Paak arrived on stage to give a lively performance of his feature on “Feel No Pain” while Gibbs channeled the same energy for his part. Both songs are featured on Freddie Gibbs’ latest project, $oul $old $eparately, which was released in September 2022.

The performance on The Tonight Show is another tick in the win column for Freddie Gibbs, who has been enjoying a lot of success as of late. He recently dropped the official music video for “Rabbit Vision” which also starred Big Sean and Jeezy.

Directed by Gibbs, Harley Astoria and Ben “Lambo” Lambert, the video features grainy, VHS-style footage of the ESGN rapper’s musical journey over the years, from tearing down stages, recording in hotel rooms and enjoying the spoils of his success.

Elsewhere, during an interview with XXL, Gibbs also revealed that he’s working on four joint albums. While he didn’t offer many details about the projects, he did tease collaborations with heavyweight producers The Alchemist, Madlib and Boi-1da.

“I’ma hit y’all with some shit that y’all thought y’all was ready for, but you really ain’t ready for,” he said. “Alchemist and Madlib ain’t goin’ nowhere, so keep that in mind. And me and Boi-1da in the studio now real, real, real heavy.”

He added: “I’m making the best music of my life, so it’s no reason to stop. And I’m the king of R&B, so I gotta do that album as well.”

The Gary, Indiana native also revealed a handful of names on his wish list of future collaborators, including Kodak Black and Future — his “current favorites,” according to XXL — as well as JAY-Z and Lil Wayne.
