Another body was found on Sunday, April 14 after the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapsed in Baltimore, Key Bridge Response Unified Command said in a press release.
The victim was positively identified by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on Monday, April 15, however, at the request of the family, the person’s name will not be disclosed at this time.
Eight construction workers were working on the bridge when it collapsed on March 26. Three of the six bodies were previously found. Two other workers were reportedly able to escape before a cargo ship slammed into the structure.
Unified Command salvage teams found the victim’s vehicle over the weekend and notified the Maryland Department of State Police. The department, the FBI and the Maryland Transportation Authority Police responded and located the deceased victim trapped inside.
