At least five people were injured in an explosion at a shopping mall in Port Harcourt, capital of Nigeria’s southern Rivers state,police said Thursday.
The blast occurred at the kitchen section of the mall, which shares fence with the Government House, state police spokesperson Nnamdi Omoni said.
Omoni said no life was lost in the explosion and that the blast “has no semblance of a terrorist attack”.
“There is no cause for alarm,” he said.
A full investigation has been launched into the blast at Port Harcourt Mall, popularly known as Spar, Omoni said.
