Fameye reveals why he quit comedy to pursue music

Making the list of Ghanaian musicians of the moment can’t be left out Fameye who’s well known for the hit song titled “Nothing I Get”. Fameye from no where has taken over the Ghana music industry and it’s no surprise that people are yearning to know more about him.

To the majority, Fameye before the fame started life just like any other struggling “underground” artist but his case is somewhat different. According to the Ghanaian musician of the moment, he started as a comedian but he had to quit because he realised that music will pay him more than comedy.

In a comprehensive interview with DJ Reuben, the host of “Drive Time” on Kumasi based Luv FM, it got to a point when he became convinced that switching careers – comedy to music – will help him greatly. Lo and behold, he has never regretted for that career decision.

The “Nothing I Get” hitmaker further revealed that he sometimes sound comical in his songs and it goes a long way to prove that no one cannot cheat nature. Thus, although he didn’t pursue his comic lifestyle but it’s extant in his chosen career – music.
