Fabolous Called Out By Funk Flex In Latest New Music Challenge
Fabolous is the latest rapper to be called out by Funk Flex for not releasing much in the way of new music in a while.
After successfully calling out Juelz Santana to drop new music last week, the Hot 97 DJ has now turned attention to the Brooklyn rhymer challenging him to get a new track into his hands by next Thursday (August 11) at 6 p.m. ET.
“I challenge Fabolous to get me a song by next Thursday in six days,” Flex wrote on Instagram. “Fabolous, do you accept the challenge or not? Fabolous, I’ve been paying attention to you. I see you out here, I hope this doesn’t get you upset, but you been getting $80,000 to $100,000 a show to host. Not even do shows — $80,000 to $100,000 to walk in the building.
“But guess what, Fab, New York City wants to know when you’re gonna drop some music. If anyone knows Fabolous, let him know I challenge him to get me a song by next Thursday. Fabolous, do you accept the challenge or not?”

Fabolous is yet to respond to Funk Flex’s challenge but many of his Hip Hop contemporaries such as DJ Drama, Tory Lanez, Swizz Beatz, and more flooded Flex’s comments section egging on Fab.
The “Into You” rapper hasn’t dropped a commercial record on streaming services since teaming up with Hitmaka in June for “Down Bad.” However, he unleashed his “Reposado Poetry” freestyle rhyming over Drake’s Certified Lover Boy cut “Champagne Poetry” the same month.
Funk Flex is currently batting .1000 when it comes to pressuring rappers into dropping heat after Juelz Santana came through
“Juelz Santana, you’ve been home for a few years now,” Flex said during his weekly radio show. “I am tired and I am exhausted, and we want a new Juelz Santana song. Juelz, I give you six days. Get me a new Juelz Santana song. Do you accept the challenge, yes or no?”
The Dipset rapper set things off by replying to Flex in the studio, “@funkflex I Accept… I’m In The Studio Now.”
Flex premiered the new record from Juelz featuring Griselda’s Benny The Butcher on his radio show Thursday night (August 4).
