Eminem is thinking about Boldy James this weekend after it was revealed that the Detroit rapper was rushed to hospital following a serious car crash.
On Monday (January 9), Boldy James (real name James Clay Jones III) was involved in a two-car accident that happened in the Detroit metropolitan area, the rapper’s publicist confirmed to HipHopDX.
Following the accident, he was taken to hospital in critical condition, suffering from broken vertebrae in his neck and orthopedic injuries. But after undergoing extensive surgery on his neck, he was taken out of ICU in a stable condition.
Boldy and his family said in a statement that they wanted to express their gratitude to “the incredible doctors and nurses that are taking care of him, and also to the communities’ emergency medical personnel and first responders.”
A number of artists have since taken to social media to offer comforting words of encouragement including fellow Detroit rapper Eminem.
“Sending out best wishes for a quick recovery for The D’s own @boldyjames!!!” Em tweeted followed by salute and prayer hands emojis.

The former Mass Appeal rapper isn’t the only artist who was involved in a car crash this week. On Tuesday (January 10), R&B singer Donell Jones revealed he had crashed his Mercedes-Benz into a ditch after falling asleep behind the wheel.
The 49-year-old was fortunate to have not suffered any injuries, but said the experience has taught him a “valuable lesson” about driving while tired.
“I fell asleep while driving yesterday and ended up in a ditch,” he wrote in his caption. “I walk away with no injuries but I learned a valuable lesson, That if you’re tired just park the car cause this could’ve been bad.”
He added: “I know that I am truly protected but I needed this experience…. Thank you God for wrapping your arms around me as you have always done… My love and loyalty is to you.”
Jones also shared a series of photos documenting the aftermath of his crash, showing his silver Mercedes-Benz S-Class stranded in a ditch by the side of the road.
