Drake has made mention of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s divorce by sampling the reality star in his new song — check out the snippet below.
During Friday’s (March 31) episode of Sound 42’s The Fry Yiy Show on SiriusXM Radio, Drizzy previewed the untitled track, which is reportedly called “Rescue Me.” Shortly after the first verse of the song, Kim Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner are heard talking about Kim’s emotional state amid her divorce from Ye.
“I didn’t come this far, just to come this far and not be happy, remember that,” Kim said. The sample comes from the 2021 season finale of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
Kim and Ye’s seven-year marriage was officially dissolved in March 2022 as both parties were ruled to be legally single. They tied the knot with an extravagant wedding in Florence, Italy in 2014. The reality star filed for divorce from Kanye in February 2021.

Drake previously shared a snippet of his new untitled track in a now-deleted post on Instagram. The track was produced by BNYX who has produced for the likes of Yeat and Ty Dolla $ign,
Rapping in a laidback flow over a driving, piano-laced beat, Drake can be heard detailing what he’s looking for in an ideal partner, including patience, trust, honesty and ambition; however, fame isn’t a prerequisite to date Drizzy.
“I need someone to be patient with me/ Someone to get money, would not take it from me/ They don’t even need to be as famous as me/ I don’t think I meet ’em at the places I be/ But deep down I think about you all day, mami,” Drake spits on the snippet.
His verse continues: “I know I’m a pitbull, but dalé, mami/ I just wanna take you on a holiday, mami/ Say what’s on your mind, I’m a call away, mami/ Come and rescue me/ Take me out the club, take me out the trap/ Take me off the market, take me off the map/ I’m tryna hit the group chat and tell ’em.”
It’s no secret that the 6 God loves women, but in an interview with Lil Yachty in February, he expressed his regret for airing out so many ex-girlfriends on wax.
“I hate hearing that shit,” Drizzy said while reflecting on his lyrics about wanting to retire at age 35 on 2016’s “Weston Road Flows.”
“I heard it the other night. I think that and sometimes when I’ve said girls’ names in songs, maybe those are the two things that I look back on and I’m like, ‘Maybe I coulda done without, like, shitting on people for age or disrupting somebody’s life.’”
