Don’t believe everything on social media – Moesha
IN recent times, celebrities and other social media influencers have been criticised for putting pressure on young people with the kind of lifestyles they portray, forcing them to engage in bad things but actress, Moesha Bodoung, says it is wrong for anyone to feel the need to match up to them.
“What we put out there is most of the time not the real situation, most of the news out there is not true. People, especially young girls, need to stand up for themselves and stop being deceived by the pictures or videos we put up on social media,” she told Showbiz last week.
“Look, if I travel to a place, you do not expect me to stand at a bad place and take pictures and the fact that I do that does not mean you need to kill yourself to do same. No, believe in yourself and you are good to go.”
Moesha added that, “If you allow the things that go on on social media to get to you, you will do all kinds of things and end up at places you may not like. If you want to believe everything then you will have hatred for us which will not help in any way.”
Moesha encouraged ladies to learn to be content with what they have.
“You do not find your worth in a man. Yes, you may get someone who has money and would want to lavish it on you but you need to put these monies to good use. Take it a step at a time and you will get there,” she said.
Moesha has starred in movies like Pool Party, Bloodline, Grey Dawn, Rape Case, Amakye and Dede, John and John and Everyday People.
However, she is mostly known for her Instagram photos. The actress usually flaunts her voluptuous body on the social networking site.
