D’banj goes into acting, debuts in new movie ‘Sugar Rush’

Nigerian singer D’banj could be changing career paths soon as he debuts in new movie titled ‘Sugar Rush’.

The Kokomaster himself after struggling to break into the music scene is hoping that this new movie could be the start of a new chapter in his career.

Jade Osiberu‘s “Sugar Rush” which was produced by D’banj, is set for release this Christmas.

Jadesola Osiberu announced the actors and actresses she had lined up for the new movie on her instagram page.

She named Adesua Etomi, Bisola Aiyeola, Omoni Oboli, D’banj, Toke Makinwa, Tobi Bakare, Nkem Owoh, Adedimeji Lateek, Zack Orji and Bimbo Ademoye as the cast of the movie.

She wrote:

“We’re coming for all your coins this Christmas!! Sugar Rush issssa rush!

“I’ve been working on a slate of films since 2017 and I’m finally glad to be able to announce the first film from the slate.

“Our plan at Greoh is to continue to collaborate with filmmakers, investors, distributors and anyone passionate about growing the Industry and telling exciting, compelling and authentic stories about Africans.

“We’re already cooking up 3 films to be shot in 2020, so we can’t wait to end 2019 with a bang!

“Sugar Rush is a coproduction amongst Greoh Media, FilmOne, DKM Media and Jungle Filmworks.

“Thanks to my co – Executive Producers @iambangalee @mosesbabatope @_iamkene and Seyi Siwoku for making it happen.
