Criss Waddle blasts VGMA board over Shatta-Stonebwoy indefinite ban

Ghanaian hip hop artiste and CEO of AMG business, Criss Kwaku Waddle has rebuked the board members of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards for banning Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy indefinitely from participating in the VGMA.

The ‘King Kong’ hitmaker added that the organisers of the event should have apologised to Ghanaians for the poor security rather than annulling the awards of these musicians who have worked hard to earn it.

“It is only in Ghana that awards that people have worked hard to earn can be taken from them. You, people, are jokers.

Many Celebrities were affected by the chaos that happened on the VGMA night. Some fans were even pepper sprayed and you will not even apologise and all you could say is the awards have been annulled and they should bring back their awards.

They should bring your head, do the right thing and stop the bullshit”, he stated.

Many Ghanaian celebrities have also reacted to the sanction against these musicians; describing it as a harsh move.

This sanction comes after Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy caused a scuffle at the just ended 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards which halted the show for almost 30 minutes.

The two dancehall musicians were arrested and granted bail to the tune of GH50,000 each with sureties.

They are to appear before the court again on 20th June 2019.
