A gospel minister and National President of Fellowship of Gospel Music Ministers of Nigeria (FOGMMON) is asking musician Waje to return to gospel music because the Holy Spirit wants to use her to win souls for the Kingdom.
Minister Asu Ekiye while reacting to Waje’s decision to quit music mentioned that “There is a big space for you in the kingdom… This is where you belong. God is about to use you to another level. God bless.”
Waje has been trending after she disclosed she is tempted to quit making music due to lack of funds.
In a 12-minute video posted on her official Youtube account, Waje cried out that her new album ‘Red Velvet’ flopped because she didn’t have the money to promote it.
She said: “Maybe it is fair to give it a rest and try other things. I can’t have released an album after everybody has been shouting Waje your last Album was five years ago, all the people that were shouting, where are they?
“I don’t have money for publicity, Emerald school fee is there. I have ten things laid out for me and every single time its always my music that is taking the bulk of the money.”
Commenting on the decision, Asu Ekiye said it’d be best for Waje to do gospel music.
He said: “While thanking God for your sterling achievement in the world of secular music,
May I use this medium to let u know that your primary constituency remains the church.. I want to officially invite you to come back to Gospel Music where u started from. The Holy Spirit awaits your arrival.”
