City Girls Star JT Refused Early Release From Prison

JT filed documents so that she could get back in the studio ASAP.

With the recent surge in popularity that the City Girls have experienced as a result of their songs “Act Up” and “Twerk,” Yung Miami is trying her hardest to keep the boat afloat without her partner in crime. Ironically enough, JT has been spending time in prison for much of the last year, making sure to film several music videos with her bestie before she started donning the orange jumpsuit. The head honchos at Quality Control have tried to hire the strongest lawyers in the world to help them free JT but nothing has worked thus far. In the most recent attempt to get JT back in the studio, the City Girls rapper was denied access to move to a halfway house and she’s being forced to serve the remainder of her time.

According to The Blast, JT and her attorney learned that she will remain behind bars in Tallahassee with over eight months left to serve in her sentence. Months ago, JT filed documents asking to be freed so that she could get back in the studio with Yung Miami, citing her good behaviour and newfound fame as reasons why she should be let go. Her attorney reportedly wrote that JT is “is one of two girls that make up the rap duo City Girls. Beginning around her change of plea City Girls became a force in the music industry. They have grown an intense fan base and have developed relationships with the elite of the elite.”

The attorney continued, “It is without hesitation that I can proffer that you will never hear from this Defendant regarding any type of crime, much less an economic one. Granting this recommendation will allow the Defendant to get back to the studio where she belongs.”

It looks like JT will continue to serve the remainder of her sentence for charges related to identity theft. Hopefully, she’s able to find a way out so that she and her City Girls companion can make another hit.
