Chief donates six computers to Aprabon MA JHS

The Chief of Aprabon, Nana Amoa Gyeme Ofori Panin Monday morning donated six desk-top computers to authorities at the Aprabon M/A Basic School.

The gesture by the Chief was to aid the school to carry out lessons on Information Communication Technology (ICT) for pupils.

Speaking to Kingdom FM Accra after presenting the items, Nana Amoa said the study of ICT was very important.

The course, the Chief noted provides pupils with the opportunity to work at optimum levels since it helps to hasten up individual or group work.

‘’It is an undeniable fact that we now live in an ICT world and those who know how to properly use the computer has an edge over those who have no knowledge about same and therefore the need for me to help pupils with computers to make them perform better on the ICT course’’, Nana Amoa posited.

MCE:

Speaking briefly at the short ceremony, Chief Executive for the Asokwa Municipal Assembly (ASKMA), Chief Akwannuasa Gyimah advised the school authorities to keep the items in good shape.

Pupils, the MCE noted needed computers to study the ICT course and perform better during exams.

He urged pupils, especially those who are about to take the Basic Education Certificate Exams (BECE) to study hard as they prepare for their final exams.

The MCE promised to help the school get enough teaching and learning aids such as textbooks and workbooks to enhance academic work.

‘’I have seen the challenges here and as we build a better canteen for the school we are also going to resource you with essential teaching and learning materials so pupils can perform better and give us good results in the BECE exams’’ Chief Akwannuasa stressed.

ASSEMBLYMAN:

Receiving the items on behalf of the school, Mr Elliot Fosu Bannor, Assemblyman for Kuwait-Oti-Aprabon thanked the Chief of Aprabon for the gesture.

He noted that computers will enhance the teaching and learning of ICT at the Aprabon community school.

Mr Bannor, who doubles as the Presiding Member (PM) for the Asokwa Municipal Assembly urged school authorities to take good care of the items.

‘’ I urge the school to take good care of these computers given to us by Nana Amoa and I believe many observers will give this school more of such if they realize the school maintains its facilities well’’, Mr Bannor stressed.
