Event organizers, Charterhouse, has rendered an unqualified apology to patrons at the just ended Ghana Rocks for Nigerian artiste’s, ‘no show’ at the event.
According to management, although acts for the night performed as advertised, Burnaboy’s absence was due to a sudden illness as communicated by his mother, who also doubles as his manager.
The information Charterhouse received, from the artiste’s ((Burnaboy) mother upon further probing was that he had gotten caught in a stampede at an event the night before and inhaled some tear gas which the police had used to control and disperse the crowds.
However, efforts to reach him after a rescheduled flight proved futile.
In a communique to disappointed fans, Charterhouse said, “As a firm believer that has always believed in creating magic at every touch point, we owe it a duty to apologize to you our patrons who were left disappointed, and hope that you find it in your hearts to pardon us.”
