CAM’RON REINVITES SHANNON SHARPE TO JOIN HIS SPORTS TALK SHOW: ‘SH-T WOULD BE WILD’
Cam’ron has once again extended an invite to Shannon Sharpe to join his sports talk show It Is What It Is, following news the sports commentator is set to leave Fox Sports 1’s Undisputed.
Killa’s invite was extended on the latest episode of his Ma$e co-hosted show, which aired on Friday (June 2). In the clip, the Harlem rapper attempts to sweeten the deal by noting their show is uncensored and still brings in the bag.
“Shannon, you definitely got a home here,” he said. “Yo, listen my n-gga – come to It Is What It Is. N-gga, you know how much bread we get? And you could be you ‘cause we being us. Yo, shit would be wild, my n-gga. I’m telling you!”
He continued: “I know you got [your podcast] Club Shay Shay and I know you not just reaching the buyout without something else lined up. But think about it my n-gga, it makes mad sense. Mad sense.”
According to Page Six, Shannon Sharpe reached a buyout agreement with Fox Sports for Undisputed and will depart at the conclusion of the 2023 NBA Finals at the end of this month. His Club Shay Shay podcast will also be leaving the network.
In his previous plea to get Shannon to join them back in April, Cam’ron had a similar pitch. Though it went unanswered, it was also before the sports commentator had announced his departure from Undisputed.
“I seen Shannon curse on TV the other day,” he began. “N-gga said, ‘What the fuck,’ then he had to stop himself. Yo Shannon, if you wanna be on television without the producers tellin’ you what to say, without ya co-host cutting you off every time you want to make a statement, come to the team.”
It Is What It Is is currently independent, but Cam recently announced that he’s getting close to signing a deal for an official media home.
The Dipset rapper was a guest on Good Day New York last month, dressed to the nines as he discussed the success of the currently YouTube-based show that launched in February.
While he wouldn’t reveal who the new deal will be with, Killa alluded to something already being in the works.
“It Is What It Is on YouTube,” Cam’ron said. “Soon getting ready to do a deal. We won’t say with who yet. I got a lot of people. I could have done a deal a month ago but I just want to weigh my options out. So we’ll figure it out.”
