Nigerian singers Burna Boy and Mr. Eaziare set to make their debut in one of the world’s biggest music and art festival, Coachella in April 2019.

This good news was shared on the official Instagram account of Coachella earlier today, 3rd of January 2019 with top American artistes headlining the festival.

From the list of artistes and their performance dates, Mr Eazi has been scheduled for the dates Saturday, April 13th and 20th while Burna will be among the artistes closing the show Sunday 14th and 21st.

Mr Eazi has been making big intentional international moves from signing licensing deals to grace international stages which all results to spreading his good Banku music. The singer recently launched his Empawa project to empower young artistes with necessary skills to help push their music carrier forward; a project that has already taken millions from the artiste but according to him, people helped him while starting his career so he feels the strong need to also do same for other talented youth who are looking to succeed in the African music industry.

Burna Boy has had a fantastic 2018 that has obviously spilled into his 2019 with this great news. The Ye singer is becoming more acceptable for his good music by the day, an acceptance coming after a rough 2017. 2018 has been Burna year with him releasing hit singles, an Outside album, shitting down O2 Academy, Brixton where he was given a plaque, wrapped up the year with a thrilling concert in Eko Hotel on the 26th of December and finally won the Notjustok Hottest Artiste in 2018.

Performing in Coachella for these artistes is a huge push in their music career as they will be performing to thousands of audience who has made coming to Coachella every year their entertainment ritual. This means spreading to music to a diverse crowd that is liable to take their sound to their own communities and push it further. This also means networking with other bigger artistes from other parts of the world and possible collaborations. Truth is, the possibilities that come with an opportunity like this one are endless and we hope the artistes will maximize to the fullest.

In 2018, Wizkid had been listed among the artistes to perform but that never happened due to what the Soco singer termed Visa issue.
