Nigerian afrobeats singer Burna Boy has hit out at musicians who pride themselves in how well they do on music streaming platforms.
About a week ago he took another swipe at musicians jumping on international record deals stating that they do not know what they are getting themselves into. He even thanked his mother for making sure he stayed away from such deals.
Burna Boy is now claiming that songs like ‘Baby Shark’, and ‘Gangnam style’ have amazing streaming numbers but that does not mean the artistes are talented.
He then said that musicians should not feel like they are talented or even respected just because people are streaming their music.
He added that anyone who is smart enough will know what he is talking about and agree with him.
