Buju Banton wins MOBO Awards 2020 — “Best Reggae Act”
Mark Myrie, popularly known as Buju Banton, an iconic Reggae/Dancehall Singjay has been announced as Winner of this year’s MOBO.
Music Of Black Origin (MOBO) is a yearly event designed to award music of black people.
Buju Banton was announced last night to have won it. Below is a message he sent across.
“I thank the MOBO Awards committee, but most of all I thank everyone who has supported me and continue to support me. Let’s continue to allow music to do its job as the great healer, teacher, comforter and above all the restorative force that propels human beings to higher heights????????“
Buju was nominated in the same category with Koffee, Protoje, Lila Ike, Popcaan.
Buju Banton came back very strong this year with his “Upside Down 2020” Album which also got nominated for the Grammys 63rd edition. Buju Banton has won the Grammys with “Before The Dawn” Album in 2011 and has been minister at least 5 times for it.
