Blueface has secured another W in the boxing world, snatching a victory at the last minute in his match against TikTok star Ed Matthews.
While the rest of the world was tuning in to the Gervonta Davis-Ryan Garcia fight on Saturday night (April 22), the “Thotiana” rapper and social media sensation faced off against one another at the OVO Arena Wembley in London, England.
From the beginning, it seemed like Blueface had the advantage, immediately delivering punch after punch to Matthews. The Brit, clearly unable to withstand the blows, buckled in the second round.
However, Matthews managed to continue to the fourth and final round, where it took the referee breaking up the fight in the dying moments after a flurry of punches from Blueface for things to finally, mercifully come to an end in the American’s favor.
“On G.O.D I was ready punch the ref he wouldn’t let me finish cuz,” the rapper wrote on Instagram while celebrating his victory.
In another post, he taunted Matthews by writing: “I put my chain on the fight an @edmatthewss put his girl on the fight…the homYs at da hotel waiting ED send her [clock emoji] [train emoji].”

Blueface’s reason for stepping in the boxing ring against Matthews in the first place stemmed from his girlfriend, Chrisean Rock, who was insulted by the social media superstar.
The situation that led to the matchup started in March after the TikToker called out Chrisean Rock for being a “scatty as fuck,” which in U.K. slang means empty-headed or scruffy. Shortly thereafter, Blueface caught wind of the video and announced that he would square up with the influencer to defend the mother of his future child, as well as make a couple bucks.
He then took it a step further and tweeted earlier this month that while he was unfamiliar with Matthews, “it don’t even matter fr” and had no doubts he will prevail.
Despite Blueface’s confidence, the 19-year-old influencer didn’t appear to be phased before the fight. Matthews told TMZ that he had a “gameplan” and that the fight would be a first-round knockout. “I’ve already seen it, trust me,” he said.
