Beyoncé signals support for Kamala Harris as she gives permission to use her song for presidential campaign

Beyoncé signaled her support for Vice President Kamala Harris by granting permission for one of her songs to be used during the presumptive Democratic nominee’s presidential campaign.

Harris’ team contacted Beyoncé’s representatives Monday to seek approval for the veep to walk out to “Freedom” featuring Kendrick Lamar from the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer’s blockbuster 2016 album, “Lemonade,” during her first official visit to her campaign’s headquarters, a source told CNN.

Beyoncé, who rarely allows her music to be used outside of her own ventures, was quick to give Harris the OK for Monday night’s appearance in Wilmington, Del., according to the report.

Reps for Beyoncé and Harris did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.

While Queen Bey, 42, has not formally endorsed Harris, 59, since President Biden dropped out of the 2024 race, she is no stranger to backing Democratic candidates.

Beyoncé was a vocal supporter of former President Barack Obama during the 2012 election and sang the national anthem at his inauguration the following year.

In 2016, the 32-time Grammy winner and her husband, Jay-Z, performed at a star-studded rally for Hillary Clinton.

Beyoncé also urged her legion of fans to vote blue in 2020 by sporting a Biden-Harris face mask in an Instagram video.

Two years later, she sang about “votin’ out” former President Donald Trump in her “Renaissance” song “Energy.”

After Biden, 81, declared Sunday that he will not seek re-election, Harris secured the support of enough Democratic delegates to become her party’s nominee Monday against Republican candidate Trump, 78, according to an Associated Press survey.

Harris, who has not yet announced a running mate, already has received endorsements from Clinton, 76, and House Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, among others.

Celebrities including Barbra Streisand and George Clooney, as well as Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, also have shown support for the VP’s White House run.
