Beyoncé Lands Every ‘Renaissance’ Track On Billboard Hot 100

Beyoncé has landed every Renaissance track on the Billboard Hot 100, just two weeks after its July 29 release.

The lead single, “Break My Soul,” currently sits at No. 1 on the chart, while “Cuff It” and “Alien Superstar” have settled into the Top 20.

Queen Bey joins Cardi B, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Olivia Rodrigo and Adele as one of the only women to have every track on an album chart.

Beyoncé is also just the third female artist to land at least 80 entries on the Hot 100 chart, following Nicki Minaj and the aforementioned Swifty.

“Break My Soul” also leads the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, Hot R&B Songs and Hot Dance/Electronic Songs charts, pulling in 18.9 million streams during the tracking period.

The song was also given an extra push with the “The Queens Remix” featuring Madonna. The two pop icons pay tribute to numerous women throughout the song, including Santigold, Nina Simone, Janet Jackson. Rihanna and the late Aaliyah.

Despite Renaissance being the biggest release of 2022 by a woman, its arrival faced a few hiccups. Not only was it leaked two days before its scheduled release date, but some people were also up in arms for her use of the word “spaz” on the single “Heated.” Considered an “ableist” term, the word forced Beyoncé and her team to scrub it from the song.

Beyoncé then had to contend with Kelis, who was upset Pharrell used a snippet of her 2003 hit “Milkshake” for the single “Energy.” The “la la la la la” interpolation was eventually removed from the song, but that didn’t stop the BeyHive from taunting Kelis. The singer wasn’t bothered though. After being called a “cry baby,” she was asked if she was happy it was omitted.

“Yes I am actually. lol nobody cried,” she replied. When another person suggested she should be grateful Beyoncé included her 2003 hit, she said: “And that’s why you are you and thank God I am me lol.”
