Beyoncé has partnered with Amazon Music to present two surprise Club Renaissance events in Los Angeles this weekend, which sold out within minutes.
The special events are scheduled to take place on Saturday (December 17) and Sunday (December 18) at a location which will only be sent to confirmed guests on Saturday. No other details have been released about the event, which may prove to be a listening event rather than a Beyoncé performance.
Fans were alerted to the Club Renaissance dates on Thursday (December 15), when a flyer for the event was shared to the official social media accounts for Amazon Music and the streaming platform’s ROTATION playlist.
Beyoncé faithfuls who signed up for Renaissance updates when the album was first announced in June also received notification via email or text message. The event has not been posted to any of Beyonce’s socials. Tickets for Club Renaissance, which were free, sold out within minutes.

The Club Renaissance flyer invited fans to “experience Renaissance in spatial audio” and was shared with a message that informed those wishing to attend the 21 and up event that each customer was limited to one ticket, available via a special Club Renaissance landing page.
Once on the site, fans were reminded of the minimum age requirement and the ticket limit, and directed to enter their information to RSVP for the event, with the caveat that guest will be required to verify their identity in order to gain admission.
“TICKETS ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE/NON-RESALE. ID REQUIRED FOR ENTRY,” read the terms and conditions included in the event description. “NAME ON THE ID MUST MATCH THE TICKET OR YOU WILL BE DENIED ENTRY INTO THE EVENT. RE-SOLD OR TRANSFERRED TICKETS WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE DEEMED NULL AND VOID, NO EXCEPTIONS.”
In order to complete the RSVP process or be added to the waitlist for either date, fans were also required to confirm their age using the REAL ID verification system. During the frenzy to grab tickets, fans flocked to both the Amazon Music and ROTATION posts on Instagram to report that issues with the verification process prevented them from accessing tickets while they were still available.
At press time, a waitlist had been added for the Club Renaissance date on Saturday, however a pop-up box notified visitors that the REAL ID system was down.
In August, Beyoncé celebrated the arrival of her seventh studio album with a Studio 54-themed private release party which was also dubbed “Club Renaissance.” The A-list crowd in attendance included Leonardo DiCaprio, Kendrick Lamar, Janelle Monae, Yara Shahidi and JAY-Z.
According to Variety, Sony Music also hosted “Club Renaissance” events in several countries, to which fans gained access through a social media contest held by the label’s respective regional offices. Those who attended in Paris were treated to a special appearance by Queen Bey herself, along with high profile guests like Tyler the Creator, Halsey and Doja Cat.
Beyoncé fans have been waiting for news of a Renaissance tour since the chart-topping album arrived on July 29. To date, the only hint that one may be in the works came via a screenshot of an auction item at the fifth annual Wearable Art Gala, hosted by the superstar’s mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, in October.
Per the auction description, the winner received two First Class International United Airlines Polaris tickets, three nights at a Marriott property and two tickets to the show in the city of their choice. The package, valued at $20,000, also includes a guided backstage experience with Ms. Tina.
