Ashanti Was Partying, Performing, & Grinding In Trinidad For Carnival
The singer went all out.
This was Ashanti’s first time participating in all of the festivities, but she held her own from sunup to sundown and looked flawless the entire time. “To all the beautiful women around the world… Happy International Women’s Day,” she captioned one of her photos. In another, she showed off her iced out custom Nikes. “Ready for Di Road s/o to @trinitytdc for blinging out my @Nike ‘s Reggie Saunders let’s go!!!! S/o to @carnivaltribe @jamespaul366 ❤️??,” she wrote.
You know things had to have gotten wild, because in a few photos Ashanti was posing for the camera donning sunglasses, a feathered crown, and jean shorts. However, in the next Instagram post, a video clip, you can see that those shorts must have had a short shelf life because they mysteriously disappeared and Ashanti was bumping and grinding.

“When you write records that people can sing back to you all over the world it’s the most humbling feeling,” she wrote about performing in front of the Trinidadian crowd. There were plenty of famous faces in the Caribbean for Carnival this year, but Ashanti definitely looked like she had the most fun.
