Comedian DKB has stated that the Ghana music industry is currently gaining some grounds and battling it out boot for boot with its Nigerian counterparts because of the introduction of the many ‘beef‘ in the industry.

Speaking on Nana Romeo’s Accra FM mid-morning show, he emphasized that the likes of Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and Sarkodie should be applauded for engaging in these ‘beefs’ since it has helped revive the Ghanaian music industry. He made the point that prior to the time when Ghanaian artist started to engage in beefing, the Nigerian musicians were dominating in the country.

Derick Kobina Bonney as he is known in real life also opined during the interview zionfelix.net monitored that he was very shocked when he realized that some Nigerian music acts like Burna Boy, Simi, Jidenna and other top stars were in the country to perform in December but little or nothing was heard about them. He emphasized that this was made possible because the local music stars had taken over the discussion on the airwaves.

The king of Ghana comedy used what happened in December 2018 as an example to back his case. He reiterated that because the big names were beefing, their fans were going every length of the earth just to get a ticket for the various show they were organizing. He stressed that this went a long way to bring a lot of buzz and life into the music industry.
