Arnold Schwarzenegger Says He’d ‘Absolutely’ Love to Act Alongside His Kids but Has 1 Condition for the Project (Exclusive)
Could a Schwarzenegger family movie be in the cards? Arnold will never say never. The 77-year-old was joined by all five of his kids — Patrick, Christopher, Christina and Katherine, all of whom he shares with ex-wife Maria Shriver, as well as his son Joseph Baena — at the premiere of Fubar season 2 at the Tudum Theater in Los Angeles on Wednesday, June 11.
The family reunion, which also included Katherine’s husband Chris Pratt, had Arnold thinking about the possibility of collaborating onscreen with some of his children, two of whom have followed in his acting footsteps.
Arnold would “absolutely” be interested in working with his kids.
Arnold, 77, tells PEOPLE he would “absolutely” be interested in starring in a project with one of his kids, as both Patrick, 31, and Joseph, 27, are now actors too.

Patrick recently scored a breakout role on season 3 of The White Lotus, while Joseph — whom Arnold revealed in 2011 he’d welcomed with the family’s housekeeper, Mildred Baena, in 1996 — starred alongside Morgan Freeman in Gunner last year.

Arnold will admit, though, that the caveat to him being interested in working with his kids is that it would require a “good script” for him to be fully onboard.
“I wouldn’t mind doing that, yes,” he adds.
If he were to work with his kids, Arnold has one main request.
The Terminator star is open to “whatever” when it comes to what kind of project he’d want to star in with his kids, he says when asked if he’d prefer an action or a comedy role. He shared, “It doesn’t make any difference.”
The only thing he would require from such a commitment, though, is that the project is good. “As long as we can entertain people.”

Arnold’s comments come after he joined Patrick for the latest installment of Variety’s Actors on Actors series, during which he paid son a very big compliment.
“You have never asked me to call a studio or to call an agent,” Arnold said when the topic of nepotism — and Patrick contemplating changing his last name — came up.
“You never asked me for advice when it comes to acting itself,” he continued. “You’re a rare breed, and I’m very, very proud of you.”
