Amber Heard ‘Very Happy’ In Spain After Paying Off $1M Debt To Johnny Depp

Amber Heard has no qualms about her future in the wake of her legal issue with Johnny Depp. Having settled the dispute after agreeing to pay $1 million to her ex-husband, the actress has said she’s “very happy” living in Spain.

In a new interview in the country she allegedly calls her second home, the “Justice League” star was all smiles after having a lunch in Madrid. When asked if she feels calmer after paying off the debt she owed to Johnny, she refused to answer the specific question as she said in a video obtained by TMZ, “I am very happy in Spain.”

Asked if she’s going to stay longer in Spain, Amber revealed, “I hope that I can. I hope that I can spend more time here. I love living here.” She was also asked if she wants to start a new life with her daughter in Spain, to which she responded, “Well, I have life,” before leaving in a car.

Back in December 2022, Amber and Johnny settled their dispute as their lawyers have agreed a to deal which would see the 37-year-old actress’ insurance company paying $1 million to the 60-year-old actor. It’s later reported that the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star would divide his million-dollar lump sum from Amber between several charities.

Make-A-Film Foundation, The Painted Turtle, Red Feather, Tetiaroa Society and the Amazonia Fund Alliance are the lucky organizations which receive donations from Johnny. A rep for Make-A-Film Foundation calls the actor “one of the most generous people we’ve ever worked with.”

Joe Seidenberg, executive director of Red Feather, reveals that the money will be used to address housing disparities for Native Americans … specifically the Navajo and Hopi tribes. Meanwhile, a rep for Amazonia tells TMZ the money will be transferred to BFUCA (Brazilian National Federation of Associations, Centers, and Clubs) for various projects.

Amber’s latest public outing in Spain comes after it’s reported that she is set for her return to the spotlight. The Mera depicter in “Aquaman” will reportedly hit the red carpet for the first time since the trial at the 69th Taormina Film Festival in Sicily, Italy on June 24 for the world premiere of her new movie “In the Fire”.
