Amber Heard and Ezra Miller are still in Aquaman 2 and The Flash, respectively, and Warner Bros. is being blasted by fans for its decision.
People are not happy with Warner Bros. and how it has been handling its stars, Amber Heard and Ezra Miller. The two actors, who are set to appear in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and The Flash, respectively, have both been embroiled in controversies centered on physical abuse, lies, and manipulation.
Heard is coming fresh off her court battle with her ex-husband Johnny Depp in which the jury found her guilty of defamation on all counts. Since then, the Aquaman 2 actress has been on a whirlwind media tour, calling the verdict ‘unfair’ and criticizing the social media campaigns that were set against her during the trial. Heard’s interview appearances as of late have seemingly done nothing but worsen the backlash, with several people urging Warner Bros. to replace her as Mera in the DC Extended Universe. As it stands, Heard will still appear in the upcoming Aquaman sequel with a reported screen time of approximately 25 minutes.
In the meanwhile, Miller has been dominating headlines for his string of violent acts and erratic behavior. Miller had been arrested twice in Hawaii for disorderly conduct, charged for various instances of harassment, and accused of allegedly grooming a minor. After the barrage of disturbing allegations was made against them, The Flash star responded by posting a series of memes on their Instagram page, which marked the latest chapter of their downward spiral.
Warner Brother's in BIG trouble. Bad decisions: Fired Johnny Depp. Retained/paid/supported Amber Heard. Hired/promoted/supported Ezra Miller. Fast forward 2 years: Amber found guilty of defamation. Ezra: wanted for questioning by police. WB: sinking 🚢

Warner Brothers is having a very bad year; Ezra Miller, Amber Heard, and thinking today's audience wants a movie about some fat rocker from the 50s. #ElvisMovie

Amber Heard turned out to be an abuser and a pathological liar, Ezra Miller went missing after years of grooming a child and assaulting women
Maybe it's time to admit that anyone can be a sh*tty person and we shouldn't make up excuses for them just because they fit our narrative

Most recently, Miller has reportedly been found housing a woman and her three children on a farm in Vermont that is filled with guns and marijuana. Despite all of these incidents, Warner Bros. is still set on releasing Miller’s version of The Flash next year, though some reports say that the studio is ready to cut ties with them right after. At this time, it is unclear whether Walter Hamada, the head of DC films, already has a replacement in mind for Miller or if he plans to halt future projects for The Flash for the time being.
A growing number of people, many of whom are dedicated DC fans, have already sworn to boycott Heard’s Aquaman 2 and Miller’s The Flash. Such is an unfortunate development for the comic book film giant, especially considering both films would have been pivotal for ushering in the next stage of the DC Extended Universe.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is set to premiere in U.S. theaters on March 17, 2023, with The Flash premiering soon after on June 23, 2023.
