Abetifi MP pays school fees for his constituents

Bryan Acheampong, the Member of Parliament for Abetifi Constituency and the Minister of State in charge of National Security at the Presidency has offered financial support for over 1,000 students in public and private schools in the constituency.

The gesture was to help increase enrolment in the schools as well as to minimise the financial burden parents struggling to take care of their wards education.

Hon. Bryan Acheampong, said his effort was a way to complement the government’s efforts in ensuring that quality education delivery was made accessible for every school going child in the district and the country at large.

Mr. Acheampong reiterated that his utmost support for education has been his foremost priority and would therefore give off his best to ensure more literate population in the constituency.

He said scholarships have also been offered to five students in the district to persue medicine at the kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and at the University of Ghana.

He said he would continue to provide support to the constituency by providing scholarships to brilliant but needy students, provision of portable water for communities and ensuring the welfare of the Aged in society.

He said plans were far advanced to increase the number of beneficiaries through the tertiary level year by year to enable workers and non workers upgrade their educational status.

The Honourable Member of Parliament therefore urged members in the district who have not heard about the MP’s scholarship Scheme to visit the district assembly for registration.
