50 CENT INSPIRES SACRAMENTO YOUTH TO ‘KEEP ACTIVE’ & STAY OUT OF TROUBLE

50 Cent has a reputation for being a shrewd businessman, but he’s also big on charity — especially when it comes to children.

On Sunday (June 11), the G-Unit mogul took to Instagram to share a photo of his recent interview with The Sacramento Bee.

While sitting down with the publication, the rapper spoke about his efforts to provide positive recreational activities and sports opportunities to the children in the area during the summer months in order to reduce violence.

“It’s a great program KING & Queens rise. I had fun hanging out with the kids, if we keep them active, they won’t go get in trouble,” he wrote in the post.

During the interview, 50 Cent (real name Curtis Jackson) revealed that he’s teamed up with the Sacramento Kings to launch the Kings and Queens Rise Co-Ed Youth Sports and Mentoring League — a program co-opted by Fif’s G-Unity Foundation.

“I think idle time is the devil’s time,” 50 told The Sacramento Bee.“Especially in inner cities where you got so many different distractions, so many different influences, positive and negative.”

He added: “They get a chance to be part of that team effort. I think it teaches them lessons that are priceless in the early stages.

In the accompaniment of the announcement, the Power creator doled out some swanky basketball uniforms during an event held at the city’s Golden 1 Center.

This marks the second year of 50 Cent’s partnership with the NBA team’s Kings Foundation, whose aim is to invest in programs to “serve underprivileged youth in the area.” Jackson’s beverage company, Sire Spirits, is one of the Kings’ official partners.

Throughout the remainder of the interview, 50 Cent spoke about his latest business endeavors, what brought him to Sacramento, and more.

In other related news, Nick Cannon recently took a shot at 50 Cent, claiming that the G-Unit founder has packed on the pounds over the past couple of years.

On an episode of The Daily Cannon, which was uploaded to Nick’s official Instagram page last week, the multi-hyphenate host was reporting on how Vivica A. Fox wants to rekindle things with the “In Da Club” rapper when he made the remark.
