2Pac’s ‘2Pacalypse Now’ Is Getting A Special Edition Funko Release

2Pac‘s debut album 2Pacalypse Now is about to get a special edition release in the form of a new Funko figure — see the collectable below.

To correlate with the anniversary of the 1991 record, which features tracks such as “Brenda’s Got A Baby,” “Trapped,” and “I Don’t Give A Fuck,” Pop In a Box has revealed it will be releasing a 5-inch tall 2Pac figurine on November 28, 2022.

The 2Pacalypse Now Funko Pop! figurine comes packaged in a window display box that sees a mini ‘Pac dressed in the same outfit he wears on the cover of the album.

You can pre-order the figurine now for $19.99.

2Pac’s 2Pacalypse Now dropped on November 12, 1991 via Interscope Records and TNT Recordings, and was recorded while Shakur was a member of the Digital Underground collective. The album, in turn, features production and appearances from Digital Underground members such as Shock G, Money-B, DJ Fuze and Pee-Wee.

In other 2Pac news, the rapper’s stepfather Mutulu Shakur, who has been incarcerated for more than 35 years and was diagnosed in prison with a rare and incurable form of blood cancer in 2019, was recently informed he has up to six months to live.

Shakur applied for a “compassionate release” in May 2020 after he was diagnosed, but it was ultimately denied by U.S. District Judge Charles Haight Jr., who claimed his health hadn’t deteriorated enough and that his crimes had been too severe.

“Should it develop that Shakur’s condition deteriorates further, to the point of approaching death, he may apply again to the Court, for a release that in those circumstances could be justified as ‘compassionate,’” Haight said in the ruling, per NBC News.

A spokesperson for the U.S. District Judge confirmed Shakur has once again applied for release and noted the request is pending. For now, he remains incarcerated at a federal medical center in Lexngton, Kentucky.
